THERAPY MASSAGE
The purpose of therapeutic massage is to provide health effects. Both the client and the therapist have a common goal of achieving structural changes in the body through a series of therapies.
Prior to initiating therapies, the client and the therapist jointly formulate goals based on the client’s problems (back pain, shoulder pain, upper limb stiffness, etc.) at the consultation meeting and perform basic motor tests for functional movements. Based on the suggestion of the therapist, a series of therapeutic massages is performed with an emphasis on the location of the origin of the problem (pain).
During the therapies, the therapist evaluates the progress of the condition and if necessary, recommends another type of therapy or complements it with another health professional.
